MISSION STATEMENT

As an expression of our love for God and concern for others, the Ministry Center seeks to provide for the spiritual health and physical well being of the residents of Nodaway County and Northwest Missouri.

FOOD PANTRY

Food and toiletry items are distributed to qualifying Nodaway County residents in need. Registered individuals and families may use the food pantry once per calendar month. Federal income guidelines apply.

FEDERAL FOOD ASSISTANCE QUALIFICATIONS

Federal Income Requirements for the FOOD PANTRY:

Household of 1= monthly income less than $2095

Household of 2= monthly income less than $2823

Household of 3= monthly income less than $3550

Household of 4= monthly income less than $4278

Household of 5= monthly income less than $5006

Household of 6= monthly income less than $5733

Household of 7= monthly income less than $6461

Household of 8= monthly income less than $7189

CLOTHING ROOM

Clothing, blankets and household items are distributed to area residents in need. Registered individuals and families are able to use the clothing room two times per calendar month. Federal Income guidelines are not required for using the Clothing Room.

BROWN BAGS

During the summer when school is not in session, qualifying families with school-age children receive supplemental food items that children can prepare for themselves. This is in addition to items received from the Food Pantry.

CSFP BOXES

Referred to as "Senior Boxes", these boxes come prepackaged from Second Harvest Food Bank to the Ministry Center.

 

Seniors who are 60+, qualify financially and are unable to access the Food Pantry receive these boxes delivered to their home by volunteer drivers.

BACKPACK BUDDIES

A backpack of food items is distributed to qualifying children throughout the county to supplement them with food for the weekend. (Many children rely on the free breakfast and lunch they receive at school).

 

This program is funded by The Ministry Center, but Community Services oversees it. Funds that are donated for this program are kept separate from the general funds of the food pantry.

ENERGY ASSISTANCE

The Ministry Center donates $2000 per month to Community Services to help with energy assistance needs for clients.

LOCAL FOOD DRIVES

Help feed the hungry in our community by hosting a FOOD DRIVE  with your school, church, or organization.
